Flagstaff House in rare company with 33rd straight Wine Spectator award

BOULDER — Flagstaff House, an upscale restaurant that overlooks the city of Boulder from its perch on Flagstaff Mountain, has been honored for the 33rd year in a row by Wine Spectator magazine with a Grand Award for its commitment to fine wine and its 15,000-bottle wine cellar.

Flagstaff House is one of only three restaurants in the world to have earned the award for this long, and it was one of 88 to receive the Grand Award this year.

“It’s so gratifying to be one of only three restaurants that have earned the Grand Award for this many years,” said owner and general manager Scott Monette. “Each year, we build our wine list to even greater heights.”

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

This year, 3,595 restaurants from 50 states and 71 other countries were recognized for their outstanding wine programs. The Wine Spectator’s Grand Award is the crown jewel for restaurants with world-class wine programs. It is given to “restaurants that show an uncompromising, passionate devotion to the quality of their wine program,” according to the magazine. These restaurants typically offer 1,000 selections or more, and feature a breadth of top producers, depth in mature vintages, a selection of large-format bottles, harmony with the menu, superior presentation and a highest level of wine service.

Award winners are featured in Wine Spectator’s Aug. 31 issue, which hits newsstands July 19.
