Firestone OKs seven new wells

FIRESTONE – The Firestone Board of Trustees approved a request by an Anadarko company to drill seven new natural gas wells on the southeast corner of Grant Avenue and Frontier Street.

Kerr-McGee, a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, aims to drill the wells in May, town planning coordinator Rebecca Toberman said.

The wells also will be located on undeveloped property zoned for single-family residential housing in the southern part of town, Toberman said.
