Entrepreneur Jeff Hoffman to keynote CSU Blue Ocean Enterprises Challenge
Entrepreneur Jeff Hoffman, known for his involvement with Priceline.com among other startups, will present the keynote address at Colorado State University’s Blue Ocean Enterprises Challenge.
The challenge, which runs May 27-30, offers startups and aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their ideas to win a grand prize of $250,000. The keynote will be held at 3 p.m. May 30 in the ballroom of the Lory Student Center on the CSU campus just before the challenge semifinals and finals take place.
In a statement, Christine Chin, interim director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at CSU, said, “(Hoffman’s) amazing experience as a serial entrepreneur, senior executive, motivational speaker and producer of both Hollywood films and a Grammy-winning jazz album, will provide our competitors and anyone who attends his talk with valuable business and life lessons.”

Hoffman will serve along with more than 30 other judges. The event takes place at 3 p.m. at the Lory Student Center on CSU’s Fort Collins campus. Some 28 startups, 13 from Colorado universities, representing 15 different industries are competing.
The event is open to the public, but registration is required and can be done on the CSU Blue Ocean Enterprises Challenge website.
