Energy Department building in Lakewood sells for $20 million

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Western Area Power Administration headquarters building in Lakewood has sold to a Washington, D.C.-based real estate investment trust for $20.25 million, the Denver Business Journal reports. 

The 115,650-square-foot property at 12155 W. Alameda Parkway sold to Easterly Government Properties Inc. (NYSE: DEA) in the company’s first acquisition since going public in February. This is Easterly’s second acquisition in Lakewood.
