Diesel Services pays $1.4M for site of new Johnstown repair center

JOHNSTOWN — The owners of Diesel Services of Northern Colorado have purchased a newly constructed industrial building in Johnstown, where they will open a diesel repair service center.

Owners Charlie Kramer and Marybeth Snyder, through the entity Wapiti Holdings CO LLC, paid $1.4 million for an 11,400-square-foot industrial building on two acres at 4738 Marketplace Drive near Interstate 25. Fort Collins-based Panilolo LLC constructed and sold the building.

Diesel Services has operated a truck repair shop at 1828 E. Mulberry St. in Fort Collins for the past 16 years. The shop in Johnstown will be in addition to the Mulberry location as the company expands its operations. Snyder said she expects to have the shop operational by mid-September. The shop at the outset will employ 10 people.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

“We had customers from Berthoud and Longmont driving all the way to Fort Collins,” Snyder said. “This shop in Johnstown will make it more convenient for them.”

The shops provide maintenance and repair for diesel, gas and propane trucks, including light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, cranes and booms, semi-trailers, drill rigs and a variety of heavy industrial and construction equipment.

The new shop will have 3,000 square feet of office space, and the balance, 8,400 square feet, will be devoted to repairs.

Craig Hau, senior commercial adviser/partner of the Group Inc. in Fort Collins represented the buyer and the seller. Hau listed the property when he was still with Sperry Van Ness/The Group Commercial LLC.
