Corn growers elect new president
A presidential term for the CCGA lasts one year, with a new president elected by board members annually, said Jared Fiel, CCGA communications and marketing director. The president is responsible for organizing and running meetings, as well as assigning members to various subcommittees and action teams.
While the president is voted in by board members, other directors are voted in by CCGA membership.

The annual meeting also addressed three areas of change to the organization’s bylaws, all of which were passed unanimously by CCGA members. These changes include allowing the board to conduct business electronically, providing flexibility of the timing of the annual meeting in the future and lowering the number of producer members needed for a quorum for membership meetings from 25 to 15.
The Colorado Corn Growers Association works on behalf of more than 4,000 corn producers through market development, communications, research and development.
