Colorado OKs $7.3 million incentive to lure 1,000 Woodward jobs

Fort Collins-based Woodward Inc. has won approval for up to $7.3 million in state tax credits designed to convince it to locate nearly 1,000 jobs to Colorado instead of another state, the Denver Post reported Friday.

The request was the largest of four approved Thursday by the Colorado Economic Development Commission under the state’s Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit program.

Credits kick in after jobs have been in place for a year, and those jobs must pay wages above the local average. They must also be positions that could have gone elsewhere.
