Colorado foreclosures up monthly, down from 2012

Foreclosures in February in Colorado fell from the previous year, but increased from January.

Foreclosures filings in February dropped 28 percent when compared to February 2012, according to RealtyTrac. The number increased in February by 23 percent when compared to January.

In February, Colorado had 2,614 properties with foreclosure filings.

Colorado had the 16th highest foreclosure-filing rate in the nation in February.

Nationwide, the foreclosures followed a similar trend, dropping by 25 percent year-over-year in February and increasing by 2 percent from January.
