Colorado approves $11M in job-growth incentives for six companies

State of Colorado officials made an $11 million play on Thursday in hopes of luring hundreds of six-figure jobs to the state.

The Denver Post reports that the Economic Development Commission approved incentive packages for six different employers considering locating new operations in the state. The biggest chunk, $5.2 million, was offered to a Denver metro tech company that would add 293 jobs with average salaries of nearly $141,000 per year. That company is also considering Georgia, Illinois and Nebraska.
