The state of Colorado is applying for $419 million in federal disaster funds on behalf of Boulder, Larimer and El Paso counties that would help pay for ongoing recovery from the devastating floods of 2013.
The Times-Call reports that the funding would come from the National Disaster Resiliency Competition. The program aims to give out $1 billion in all to communities that suffered natural disasters between 2011 and 2013.
