Church Ranch Neighborhood Health Center holds grand opening Thursday

WESTMINSTER – The Church Ranch Neighborhood Health Center, a clinic that offers a variety of medical services, will hold a grand opening in Westminster on Thursday.

The new health center, which opened in September, timed its grand opening to celebrate Colorado Rockies opening day on Friday.

The 46,000-square-foot health center is affiliated with Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville. Centura Health, Avista’s parent company, bought the building at 7233 Church Ranch Blvd. for $4.25 million in January 2014.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

The facility includes cardiac, cancer treatment, imaging, family medicine, neurosurgery and men’s and women’s services departments, said Robert Stansel, director of ambulatory operations for the Church Ranch health center. The health center eventually plans to provide physical therapy services.

“The whole concept here is to have a robust center that reaches out to the communities in Westminster, in particular, and give folks better access to health care and convenience,” he said.

Avista also has opened health centers in Dacono and Thornton. Centura’s neighborhood health centers are part of an effort to lower health-care costs by relying less on emergency hospital care.

Centura has additional wellness centers throughout the Front Range and others coming online soon. The company aims to attract businesses from throughout the region to participate in its wellness programs.
