Car dealer to open in vacant Iron Mountain building

A Loveland auto dealer has leased the vacant Chevy dealership in the Iron Mountain Auto Complex in Windsor.

Kevin Rowley will open Iron Mountain Truck and Auto Collision Repair and Fleet Painting in the building that formerly housed the Chevy Dealership near the intersection of Weld County Road 17 and U.S. Highway 34.

Rowley has ownership in Finish Line Auto Sales in Loveland and also owns Rowley’s Auto Collision Experts and Finish Masters Auto Detailing. Rowley signed a long-term lease on the property to open a Windsor location for his businesses.

The property is owned by developer Martin Lind, who purchased it in March for $2 million after the Department of Revenue shut down the Iron Mountain Complex in 2009.

The complex once housed five Champion dealerships, but they ran into financial trouble. The $20 million complex was shuttered, and companies have only recently begun expressing interest in the property.

Bobcat of the Rockies and a Kia dealership both opened in the complex last year.
