Building owners urged to try energy program
In exchange, building owners will receive free assistance from an independent energy coach who will help collect energy use data and rate their buildings’ energy performance using the Energy Star Portfolio Manager, a national standard energy rating tool developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Portfolio Manager can help compare a building’s energy use to similar buildings nationwide and provide a rating that can serve as a starting point for understanding whole building energy performance and identifying energy-efficiency upgrades that could save money.
