Nonprofit notes

The 3rd Annual Community-Wide Shoe Drive will be held through the month of November. Children and adults are invited to clean out their closets and donate their new or gently used footwear to people in need in our community and beyond. Donations can be dropped off at Brown’s Shoe Fit Co., 3500 S. College Ave., or the Keller Williams Realty office, 1220 S. College. This year’s goal is to collect more than 3,500 pairs of shoes.

Business Cares: March 2024

WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

Fort Collins-based Jet Marketing was presented the Bronze Leaf Award for Excellence in Healthcare Advertising at the annual awards ceremony for Colorado Healthcare Communicators, which recognizes the best healthcare communication projects in the state. Jet Marketing was awarded the Bronze Leaf in recognition for a print campaign for The Memorial Hospital at Craig.

Engineering and sustainability consulting firm Brendle Group was awarded the City of Fort Collins 2011 Urban Design Award in the Green Design category for the renovation of its new headquarters at 212 W. Mulberry in Fort Collins. The award recognizes outstanding green building design and renovation projects.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors honored exceptional efforts in Merit Construction while celebrating the entire construction industry during the 10th annual Excellence In Construction Awards held on Oct. 14 at The Westin Westminster. Roche Constructors Inc. in Greeley earned an Excellence award and Hensel Phelps Construction Co. earned an Excellence Award and two Merit Awards.

Morning Fresh Dairy and Noosa Yoghurt took the gold award for Noosa Strawberry Rhubarb Yoghurt and Bronze for Noosa Peach Yoghurt in the open flavor category at the World Dairy Expo Championship held last month in Wisconsin. Morning Fresh Dairy first introduced Noosa Yoghurt, made with Morning Fresh Dairy milk at their facility in Bellvue to Northern Colorado in January 2010 through its home delivery service.

NEW LOCATION

Watson Moving & Storage expanded its operation from Estes Park to a second location at 200 SW 12th St., Unit 106 in Loveland. Serving all of Northern Colorado, Watson Moving & Storage specializes in residential and commercial moving as well as temperature-controlled storage.

DEADLINES

The Parade of Lights is accepting parade entries through Nov. 28. The parade, slated for 5 p.m., Dec. 10 in Loveland, is the finale for Engaging Loveland’s Snow Sculpture in the Dark event, which runs from Dec. 5-10. The parade is open to any organization, business and resident across Colorado.
