Boulder small-business owner appointed to SBA fairness board

DENVER – Mike Anderson, a small-business owner in Boulder, has been appointed to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Region VIII Regulatory Fairness Board.

Anderson is the owner of MGA Consulting and vice president of marketing for ReliAscent LLC.

The SBA has fairness boards in each of its 10 regions. Each board is comprised of five small-business owners who serve as a local resource for small businesses and work with small-business trade groups and other entities to address regional concerns about federal regulatory enforcement and compliance issues.

Regional board members advise Brian Castro, the SBA’s national ombudsman and assistant administrator for regulatory enforcement fairness.

In a prepared statement, Castro said Anderson’s more than 30 years of experience across the manufacturing industry, including more than 10 years in government contracting, makes him qualified to understand and advocate for small businesses and specifically for Small Business Innovation Research companies.
