Boulder-based Investors Independent eyes Grand Junction branch

BOULDER — Investors Independent Trust Co., which last month received approval from the Colorado Division of Banking to open an office in New Jersey, is seeking to open another branch office in Grand Junction.

Boulder-based Investors Independent is a chartered trust company that provides wealth-management services. The Grand Junction office would mark the firm’s eighth overall and third in Colorado along with its Boulder and Centennial offices.

Investors Independent filed a use of name request with the Division of Banking to call the Grand Junction office Two Rivers Trust Co. Company president and chief executive Herb McPherson said the firm is awaiting approvals from the state on both the name and the plan to open the Grand Junction office.
