Boulder Area Realtor Association partners with WikiRealty

BOULDER — Members of the Boulder Area Realtor Association can access WikiRealty, a web platform based on crowdsourcing that allows Realtors to share their knowledge online.

The association Monday said it is partnering with Santa Monica, Calif.-based WikiRealty, a mobile and Web platform that promotes the exchange of “hyper-local” real estate news and knowledge between consumers, Realtors, agents, brokers, lawyers, lenders and developers. Since launching in 2014, WikiRealty is being used in California, Florida, Chicago and Milwaukee.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

In Colorado, 1 in 3 women, 1 in 3 men and 1 in 2 transgender individuals will experience an attempted or completed sexual assault in their lifetime. During April, we recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the hopes of increasing conversations about this very important issue.

WikiRealty is expected to help BARA members market their expertise and connect them with more homebuyers and sellers searching for local real estate knowledge online. BARA has 1,100 member Realtors and 100 affiliate partners.

“BARA members will now have an efficient means to communicate their vast local knowledge, way beyond the particulars of a certain piece of property.” Veronica Precella, BARA’s chief executive, said in a prepared statement.

“We built the WikiRealty community to help everyone get the insights they need to make smarter decisions about where to live and work,” said Sanjay Kuttemperoor, WikiRealty’s founder and CEO.  “We welcome contributions from anyone associated with real estate. … We’re building the most vibrant community in real estate.”
