Bike to Work Day set for Wednesday, June 25

If you plan on driving your car to work Wednesday, June 25, be prepared to encounter thousands of cyclists on the edge of roads participating in Bike To Work Day 2014 throughout Northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley.

Cities and towns participating in the event include Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Boulder, Broomfield, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior and Erie.

Breakfast stations will be open generally from 6:30 to 9 a.m. and Bike Home stations are open from 3 to 6 p.m.

For a list of breakfast, water-aid and heading home stations in your area visit the Bike to Work website at biketowork2014.org/stations and enter the city you want to search.

Participants can register for the event at biketowork2014.org. Registered participants can win prizes and allow organizers to apply for federal funding. Most of the costs incurred by organizers are offset by donations from businesses.
