WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

The company currently has offices at 451 21st Ave. in Longmont and in Colorado Springs. It employs about 130 people.

BC Services purchased 13.2 acres of land in the park at the northeast corner of Nelson Road and Disc Drive, according to Stan Whitaker of Western Property Advisors Inc. The property is east of Seagate Technologies’ campus. Other tenants of the park include OnCore Manufacturing and Microsoft, which operates a data center there.

BC Services, through the entity Boettcher Family LLC, sold the office building at 451 21st St. in February to William L. and Shirley Anne Boettcher for $1.5 million, according to public records.

BC Services used the proceeds to help fund the purchase of the land in the business park, Whitaker said. BC Services used a 1031 exchange that allows investors to sell property and reinvest the proceeds in another property without having to pay taxes that otherwise would be owed on gains from a sale. The payment of capital gains tax is deferred, representing only a potential tax which is not owed unless the replacement property is sold.

The family-owned business provides three accounts-receivable services including collections, private-pay billing services for the health-care industry, and returned check verification and recovery services.

The company was founded in 1925 as Bonded Collection Services and was purchased by William and Shirley Boettcher in 1964.
