In Colorado, 1 in 3 women, 1 in 3 men and 1 in 2 transgender individuals will experience an attempted or completed sexual assault in their lifetime. During April, we recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the hopes of increasing conversations about this very important issue.

The organizations said their agreement would lead to more personalized care and wellness programs focusing on preventative care, chronic conditions and disease management.

Paul Kellogg, senior director of managed care for Banner Health, said the agreement will help the health care provider better coordinate patient services.

“Health care is fragmented,” he said. “We believe these models will help provide a much more consumer friendly experience and hopefully keep people healthy and well.”

Banner Network Colorado has similar agreements with UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE: UNH), Cigna Corp. (NYSE: CI), Aetna Inc. (NYSE: AET) and others.
