Ballet school rebrands as performers move

BROOMFIELD – Dance school Ballet Nouveau Colorado is changing its name to the Colorado Conservatory of Dance as its professional dance company becomes its own entity and moves to Denver.

The dance company, Wonderbound, opened at 1075 Park Ave. W. in Denver, while the school will stay put at 3001 Industrial Lane in Broomfield.

It’s the second move so far this year for an area ballet concern. In January, Colorado Ballet announced its plan to move from its longtime home at 1278 Lincoln St. in downtown Denver to a building it bought at 1075 Santa Fe Drive.

The move of Wonderbound was made possible by an Indigogo crowdfunding project, a multiyear contribution from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation and commitments from the David and Laura Merage and Kenney Brothers foundations.
