Auction winners can score face time with Northern Colorado execs

LOVELAND — Did you ever dream of discussing Colorado State University’s planned on-campus stadium with President Tony Frank or chatting up the Colorado Rockies with co-owner Dick Monfort? How about getting some personal financial tips from top bankers such as First National’s Mark Driscoll, Cache’s Byron Bateman or Verus’ Gerard Nalezny, or marketing advice from 2015 Bravo! Entrepreneurs’ Lifetime Achievement Award winner Bonnie Dean?

Those opportunities and more await high bidders in BizWest Media LLC’s silent auction, to be held next week in Loveland. They’ll get face time with Northern Colorado chief executives and community leaders, and the proceeds will benefit United Way of Larimer County and United Way of Weld County.

Last year, this event raised more than $19,000 for the two United Ways.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.

The auction will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, as part of BizWest’s Bixpo business exposition, which includes 44 “BixTalks” business workshops and a Larimer County Workforce Symposium. A cocktail reception will follow from 4 to 6 p.m.

Bixpo will be held at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch, the Larimer County fairgrounds complex east of Interstate 25 and north of the Crossroads Boulevard exit.

Tickets for the CEO Auction are $15 and may be purchased at www.Bixpo.com. A portion of ticket-sale proceeds also will benefit both United Ways.

Other CEOs and community leaders whose time will be up for bid include Fort Collins City Manager Darin Atteberry, Richard Bisson of WaterPik, Scott Ehrlich of Ehrlich Motors, Larry Kendall of Ninja Selling, Rayno Seaser of The Egg & I restaurants, Masoud Shirazi of Shirazi Benefits, Chalice Springfield of Sears Real Estate, Bob Flynn of Green Ride, Jerry Helgeson of American Eagle Distributing, Joe Kellogg of Madwire Media, Martin Lind of Water Valley, Pete Lindgren of OtterBox, Troy McWhinney of the McWhinney development firm, Chris Otto of EKS&H, Roy Otto of the city of Greeley, Jim Parke of Blue Ocean Enterprises Inc., Jim Rudolph of Woodward Inc., Ken Salazar of SilverEdge, Bob Tointon of Phelps-Tointon Inc., Kevin Unger of University of Colorado Health, Ted Warner of Connecting Point, Bill Cahill of the city of Loveland and David Neenan of The Neenan Co.

Additional business products and services for Bixpo have been donated by Odell Brewing Co., MM Solutions, Miramont Lifestyle and Fitness and many more.

A copy of the new Northern Colorado Honor Book, which features all award honorees from eight influential organizations, will be given to all event attendees. The publication honors the individuals and businesses that have made Northern Colorado great, including award winners from the Better Business Bureau, Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, Greeley Chamber of Commerce, Loveland Chamber of Commerce, United Ways of Larimer and Weld counties, and BizWest. Event organizers say it’s the first time this information has been collected in one place.
