Atlanta firm proposing another 300-plus housing units in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS — Atlanta-based Crowne Partners Inc. has submitted conceptual plans to build Crowne at Suniga, 305 units of multifamily housing and 19 townhomes in Fort Collins.

The apartments and townhomes would be built on 15.7 acres of vacant land at the northwest corner of Suniga Road and Blue Spruce Drive, according to planning documents. The property is currently owned by Ali Akbary and Fahima Kamandy, according to Larimer County records.

The project will consist of a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in multiple four-story buildings, plus the townhomes. The total square footage of the apartment buildings is still to be determined.

Plans call for 540 parking spaces — 377 surface spaces, 90 covered spaces, 42 internal garages, 12 external garages and garages for each of the 19 townhomes.

Terrance Hoaglund with Vignette Studios in Fort Collins is representing the owners in the planning process, which started Monday with a preliminary meeting with the city’s planning staff.

Crowne Partners last year constructed Crowne at Timberline, 310 luxury apartments and townhomes near the intersection of Timberline and Trilby roads in south Fort Collins.
