8 local firms score EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist honors

Executives from eight Boulder Valley companies were among the 24 finalists announced this week for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Mountain Desert Region.

The award program, now in its 30th year, honors entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

The Mountain Region includes Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. Finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges, with winners to be announced at a ceremony on June 23 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Winners there are considered for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year national program, for which winners are announced in November.

Nine regional winners were selected last year, including SolidFire founder David Wright and Clean Energy Collective’s Paul Spencer.
