36 Commuting Solutions nets $160,000 DRCOG grant

LOUISVILLE — Transportation advocacy group 36 Commuting Solutions has received a $160,000 Transportation Demand Management Partnership grant from the Denver Regional Council of Governments to carry out services that mitigate traffic congestion along the U.S. Highway 36 corridor between Boulder and Denver.

The grant to the Louisville-based group covers TDM planning, outreach and marketing activities from March of this year through February 2018, and is linked to DRCOG’s long-term transportation and emissions goals. Those goals aim to reduce the percent of trips to work by single-occupancy vehicles to 65 percent and the annual per capita greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector by 60 percent, both by 2035.

This is the fourth time that 36 Commuting Solutions has received a TDM Partnership grant, which provides key funding for its marketing and outreach efforts.
