36 Commuting Solutions expands service area, rebrands
LOUISVILLE — 36 Commuting Solutions, a public-private partnership that has worked to improve commuting along the U.S. Highway 36 corridor, has expanded its geographic service area and changed its name to Commuting Solutions.
Commuting Solutions, known as a transportation management organization, will expand its reach to other key corridors in the Boulder Valley, including Colorado highways 119 and 7, and will work to improve commuting options to and from Erie, Lafayette and Longmont.
“The Commuting Solutions’ board of directors unanimously approved the decision to expand the organization’s advocacy, membership and services,” said Commuting Solutions’ board chairman David Driscoll, in a prepared statement. “This diversification signifies our commitment to increasing access to multimodal transportation for all who live and work in the northwest region.”

People Powered: Preparing Longmont Businesses for Economic Success
Longmont Chamber and FNBO present People Powered on April 24, 2024, aiming to inform business owners about workforce development, housing, and transportation issues.
The group in 2017 will focus on implementing recommendations from the 2013 Northwest Area Mobility Study and building political and business support for regional transportation investments.
“Due to population growth in historically suburban and rural communities, we are seeing increased demand for transportation options,” said Commuting Solutions’ executive director Audrey DeBarros. “When the U.S. 36 Express Lanes Project integrated transit, bicycling and technology elements into a roadway project, a model for effective transportation was developed. We envision corridors such as State Highway 119 and State Highway 7 following this same transformation into multi-modal corridors that meet the region’s growing transportation needs.”
