40 Under Forty winners receive Hach Center memberships
LOVELAND — Forty up-and-coming business leaders were recognized Wednesday night at the BizWest 40 Under Forty awards program for Northern Colorado. The annual awards program was conducted at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall in Loveland and recognizes young business people for their professional and personal achievements, along with their charitable activity.
Of the 40, Kerrie Luginbill of Old Town Media, Fort Collins, received the Community Service Award from the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. Luginbill is chief strategy officer and a partner with Old Town Media Inc. She was recognized for her work in the community, especially as president of the Fort Collins evening Rotary Club, president-elect of Project Self Sufficiency, and as a judge and mentor for DECA students in the area.

The foundation also gave every member of the 40 Under Forty class a $750 membership in the inaugural Hach Center for Regional Engagement.
Ray Caraway, president of the Community Foundation, said the Hach Center resulted from a $1 million endowment from Bruce and Muriel Hach, Loveland entrepreneurs who created the Hach Co., which manufactures precision water-testing equipment. Hach is now a part of the Danaher Corp.
“I was extraordinarily impressed with every single member of this class, for their community service,” Caraway said. He described the group as perfect for the Hach Center, which will endeavor to make Northern Colorado a better place by helping the region’s people engage with one another, build relationships, identify issues and solve problems. “They will help create a vision for the region. The center will be 100 percent focused on the future of the region,” he said.
Addressing the class, Caraway said, “The relationships you build through your personal and professional lives are the most important things that you will do,” he said. The Hach Center will help members of the class engage with people from throughout the region.
