Loveland-based Lightning Systems raises $2.3 million

LOVELAND — Lightning Systems Inc., formerly Lightning Hybrids, has raised $2.3 million, a follow up to a previously announced investment round in May where it was seeking $7 million.

The company is raising those funds by offering equity, according to a Form D filed by Lightning Systems on Oct. 11.

Bonnie Trowbridge, vice president of marketing for Lightning Systems, said the funding was going to the company’s new line of electric vehicles and ramping up the sale of those.
