Famous Brands licenses Mrs. Fields cookies to Calif. snack maker

BROOMFIELD — Famous Brands International, the company behind brands such as TCBY and Mrs. Fields, has entered a licensing agreement with snack manufacturer Taste of Nature Inc. to make Mrs. Fields pre-packaged cookies.

Taste of Nature, in Santa Monica, Calif., will manufacture, sell and distribute Mrs. Fields cookies beginning Jan. 1, 2018. The company will produce everyday and seasonal varieties of the cookies for North America and in 20 countries internationally, according to a news release from Broomfield-based Famous Brands.

Mrs. Fields cookies, owned by Broomfield-based Famous Brands International, are being licensed out to a California snack manufacturer.

Mrs. Fields first started in 1977 and is available in more than 300 retail and online stores. The partnership with Taste of Nature is designed to grow the brand.
