Instacart expands coverage in Northern Colorado

FORT COLLINS — Retail delivery service Instacart is expanding its Fort Collins coverage area to serve 120,000 homes in the area, starting Aug. 15.

San Francisco-based Instacart lets customers order from retailers such as Whole Foods, Costco, Natural Grocers, King Soopers and Petco, and deliver their orders in as little as an hour.

The Instacart Fort Collins region will include service to Fort Collins, Johnstown, Berthoud,

Milliken, Kelim, Windsor, Severance, Laporte, Loveland, Timnath, Campion, Masonville and some smaller enclaves in Larimer and Weld counties.

To keep up with the delivery demand, Instacart said it will hire 100 new shoppers for the region.

“Over the past year we’ve seen incredible demand in the Fort Collins area,” said David Holyoak, Instacart senior operations manager, in a prepared statement. “We work with a variety of local retailers to provide the freshest, highest quality groceries to our customers. Expansion into Fort Collins gives us an opportunity to expand service in the Colorado market. We’re also excited to build a world class shopper community, where we can offer fun and flexible income earning opportunities for our shoppers, who ultimately deliver this amazing service to the community.”
