Anadarko to reactivate 3,000 vertical wells
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. will restart 3,000 vertical wells that it shut down in mid-April after an explosion in Firestone.
The Denver Post reports that the Texas-based energy company will reactivate the wells in the second half of the year. The April explosion killed two men and injured a woman.
Anadarko estimated that the shutdown — taken to inspect the wells for safety — cost about 13,000 net barrels of oil per day.
