New Belgium planning to fly into another DIA spot
DENVER — New Belgium is looking to add a Colorado-themed sports bar to Denver International Airport.
The Fort Collins brewery is part of a group proposing the spot for Concourse B, BusinessDen reports, and the contract proposal has been approved by city council. It is now pending the mayor’s seal of approval.
This wouldn’t be the first location in DIA for New Belgium: It already has New Belgium Hub, also on Concourse B. This new concept wouldn’t replace the existing restaurant but would take over the spot that is now Colorado Sports Bar & Grill.

The contract said the new Colorado-themed sports bar would feature flat panel HD TVs and food pairings that both fit within a sports bar but are influenced by the farm-to-table movement.
New Belgium’s agreement on the 3,948 square-foot space would be for 10 years. If approved, the brewery will pay $734,000 annually.
The 10-year contract was filed under HPF LEI HPF DEN LLC, which coincides with San Francisco-based High Flying Foods, a company that specializes in airport dining. New Belgium is also part of the HPF group.
Two other eateries were also approved by city council: Starbucks and Dazbog Coffee.
