Eyeglasses retailer Warby Parker opening first Colorado store

BOULDER — Fashion and philanthropy enthusiasts on the Front Range are about to get a fan-favorite eyewear store on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, with Warby Parker opening its first Colorado store.

The brand, which was founded in 2010 and has gathered a following for its prescription glasses and sunglasses, is opening on Saturday, July 8, at 1949 Pearl St. The store will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Part of Warby Parker’s appeal has been the ability to pay flat price of $95 for prescription glasses and to try styles ordered online at home before purchasing, as well as the promise that for every pair purchased Warby Parker will distribute a pair to someone in need.

Ways to thank a caregiver

If you have a caregiver or know someone who has been serving as a primary caregiver, March 3rd is the day to reach out and show them how much they are valued!

To celebrate the Boulder store, the brand is releasing an exclusive pair of sunglasses in aqua blue. The store will be decorated like a library, complete with reference desk and books to read. The store is one of 50 the brand has across the U.S. and Canada.

“Not that we needed an excuse to visit Colorado more often, but now we have an excellent one,” says co-founder and co-CEO Dave Gilboa, in a prepared statement. “Our first store in the state, in the heart of downtown Boulder on historic Pearl Street, is the home base we’ve been eager to build for years—and it has the best mountain view of any Warby Parker store in existence.”
