Greeley airport reopens after runway improvements

GREELEY — Renovations to the runway at the Greeley-Weld County Airport are almost complete, allowing for the reopening of the facility for flights.

The Greeley Tribune reports that the airport reopened for flights, June 28, after two months of improvements to the facility’s 10,000-foot runway. Additional improvements to be completed by September include grooving and paint work. The $6.5 million project is being financed with state and federal funds.
