‘Outlandish’ clothing startup nabs $3M in capital

BOULDER — Shinesty Inc., a clothing startup that specializes in making loud, brightly printed outfits for men and women, raised about $3.4 million in capital.

The Boulder retailer, which landed a deal for a reality show with MTV last year, is offering equity and seeking $4.4 million, according to a Form D filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The form was filed May 25. Shinesty did not return a request for comment.

Shinesty makes products such as American flag- and dollar-bill-printed blazers, ’80s-looking neon ski suits and tropical dresses and shirts.
