Advanced Energy opens third service center in China

FORT COLLINS — Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) on Friday announced the opening of a service center in Xi’an, China.

Fort Collins-based Advanced Energy has 13 service centers around the world, and this new one is the company’s third in China, with the other two in Shanghai and Shenzhen.

The new center is in the Xi’an high-tech district in central China. It will provide service and repair operations supporting semiconductor manufacturing growth in China. Advanced Energy makes power and control products used in semiconductors, flat-panel displays and other electronics.

“China has a thriving semiconductor industry, and the Xi’an service center allows us to offer the advantages of high-quality service closer to the customer,” Yuval Wasserman, Advanced Energy’s president and chief executive, said in a prepared statement.
