Lockheed Martin to shift 550 California jobs to Jefferson County

Jefferson County stands poised to land 550 jobs after a February decision by Lockheed Martin to relocate 650 jobs from Sunnyvale, Calif., to Colorado and Florida.

The Denver Post reports that the Colorado Economic Development Commission on Thursday approved $12.6 million in job-growth tax credits. The incentives consist of 100 percent credits on personal-property taxes and will apply if Lockheed Martin moves 550 jobs to Jefferson County over eight years.

The jobs will pay an average annual wage of $118,617.
