California firm buys its third mobile-home park in region

LONGMONT — Sacramento, Calif.-based FollettUSA Inc. has purchased the St. Vrain Village mobile-home park in Longmont for $11.5 million, its third purchase of a mobile-home park in the region in the past nine months.

FollettUSA is a private real estate company with a focus on developing, owning and managing manufactured-housing communities across America.

The company purchased the park from RV Horizons Inc., which is based in Cedaredge.

The 16.6-acre park near the St. Vrain Creek has 139 spaces. About 30 homes incurred water damage during the flood of September 2013, said Casey Kelly, FolletUSA’s chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

The city of Longmont is working on a multiyear flood-mitigation program that would remove the site from the 100-year floodplain.

In August, FollettUSA acquired the Sunset Mobile Home Park in Loveland for $17.7 million, and in December, FolletUSA acquired the Sunflower Adult Active Community in Fort Collins for $16.2 million.
