TechCrunch to hold pitch competition in Longmont

LONGMONT — TechCrunch, a leading technology publication, is hosting a pitch event in Longmont next week.

John Biggs, an editor of TechCrunch, is hosting the pitch competition at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the Oskar Blues Oak Room. The event is held in conjunction with the New Tech Longmont meetup group.

Winners of the Pitch Off event will win a table at the New York TechCrunch Disrupt event May 15-17. The second-place winner will get tickets to the event.

Companies interested in pitching can apply. Eight companies will be selected for a two-minute pitch and two minutes of questions from the judges.

Biggs held a similar event at the Boomtown accelerator in Boulder on March 29. New Tech Longmont Organizer Tammie Baumann said that after that event, her group requested he hold a similar pitch contest in Longmont.

Those interested in attending the pitch competition can RSVP.
