Colorado EDC approves $34.4M incentive package to lure 1,200 jobs

The Colorado Economic Development Commission has approved a $34.4 million incentive package to lure an expansion rom a cable TV company.

The Denver Business Journal reports that the unnamed company could add more than 1,200 jobs at a new network operations center that it’s contemplating building in Arapahoe County. State tax rebates approved by the EDC on Thursday would extend for eight years if the jobs are created.

Only two cable TV companies — Philadelphia-based Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA) and Stamford, Conn.-based Charter Communications fit the description offered by the EDC, including that it employs more than 90,000 people, the DBJ reports.
