Former Denver Bronco will be auctioneer at Wine Fest in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS — Former Denver Bronco Reggie Rivers will serve as auctioneer at this year’s Wine Fest, a fundraiser for the nonprofit Disabled Resources Services that will be held March 31.

The auction will consist of sports memorabilia, premium wines and dinners to area restaurants.

Disabled Resources Services will auction a football signed by Broncos Ring of Fame member and two-time Super Bowl champion free safety Steve Atwater and a dinner at the Denver Chophouse with Orange Crush-era linebacker and Broncos Ring of Fame member Randy Gradishar.

“Having Reggie as our auctioneer makes the live auction a really special event this year,” said Nancy Jackson, DRS’ executive director. “We really wanted to mark Wine Fest’s 35th anniversary milestone with a big event, and Reggie’s presence will certainly help that.”

Since its inception, Wine Fest has raised more than $500,000 for people with disabilities in Larimer and Jackson counties. Each year, proceeds from the event help provide services that enhance independence, dignity and quality of life for approximately 9,000 people. Most of those receiving ongoing help live in poverty, their disabilities preventing them from being employable.

This year, the event will feature more than 500 offerings from Colorado, American and international wineries. Local restaurateurs will provide samples of gourmet menus, and local breweries will offer brews.

Tickets purchased in advance are $65 for general admission and $85 for VIPs. Prices are higher on day of event.
