UNC considers plan to create medical college on campus
GREELEY — The University of Northern Colorado Board of Trustees on Friday will consider a proposal to host a private medical college on the UNC campus.
The Greeley Tribune reports that Salud Education is proposing a partnership to create a College of Osteopathic Medicine on campus, using the vacant Bishop-Lehr Hall and laboratory school. The school would be intended to address the nationwide shortage of primary-care physicians.
If approved and accredited, the college could begin offering classes by the fall of 2019.
