Broomfield lands $6.5M Gravity One climbing gym

BROOMFIELD — A new, $6.5 million climbing gym called Gravity One soon will rise near UCHealth Broomfield Hospital at 8701 Uptown Ave.

BusinessDen reports that Boulder climbing enthusiast Jason Haas and local investors will build the project using a $5 million loan guaranteed by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The gym will encompass 20,000 square feet, with 15,000 square feet dedicated to rope climbing. Another 2,000 square feet will be used for bouldering. The tallest climbing wall will reach 54 feet in height.

Haas told BusinessDen that Gravity One will target climbers in Broomfield, West Arvada, Superior and Lafayette.
