Ruscitti takes over for Berg as managing partner of Boulder law firm

BOULDER — George V. Berg, one of four founding partners of the Boulder-based law firm Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP, has stepped down as managing partner, a role he has held for the past 15 years.

Founding partner Giovanni M. Ruscitti became the firm’s managing partner June 1. Ruscitti will lead the firm’s management committee, which oversees day-to-day operations and long-term planning.

Berg will remain with the firm, spend more time on his practice and act as an adviser to the firm’s management committee, Ruscitti said.

“On behalf of my partners and everyone at BHGR, I would like to thank George for his tireless dedication and service to the firm,” Ruscitti said. “Through George’s leadership, vision and passion, we have established ourselves as one of the leading firms in Colorado, while maintaining an amazing work environment and culture.”

The law firm was founded in 2001 with five attorneys. It has grown to 34 attorneys, five paralegals and 25 staff members. In addition to its main office in Boulder, the firm maintains an office in Denver.

Berg’s practice of more than 35 years emphasizes commercial transactions and litigation, personal and real property litigation, real estate and real estate development, construction, banking, insurance and title insurance coverage analysis and litigation, including antitrust and business competition matters, business organization, reorganization, business disputes and bankruptcy.

Ruscitti will continue to serve the firm’s clients. His practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation/arbitration, board matters and planning, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, financing, securities, construction law, real estate, and oil and gas/mining/energy. Ruscitti will continue to serve as a mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
