2015-16 Colorado skier visits rebounded from previous season’s decline

Big snow totals early in the season helped Colorado ski resorts post a new record for skier visits during the 2015-16 ski season.

The Denver Business Journal reports that Colorado Ski Country USA resorts — which includes most of the state’s resorts aside from Vail Resorts’ Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek — saw skier visits climb to a combined 7.4 million this season, up from 7.1 million the year before. The 5 percent increase came after a slight decrease in total visits from the 2013-14 season to the 2014-15 season.
