Tour de Fat returns Saturday with new route

FORT COLLINS – New Belgium Brewing will hold its annual
Tour de Fat bike parade Sept. 3, with the ride beginning at 10 a.m. at Civic
Center Park, at the intersection of Howes Street and Laporte Avenue in Fort
Collins. Registration for the ride begins at 9 a.m.

The ride is just less than 4.5 miles long, and will bring
riders back to Civic Center Park for music and New Belgium beer. Proceeds from
the event will benefit the Overland Mountain Bike Club, the Bike Co-op and Bike
Fort Collins.

Riders are encouraged to come in costume and cyclists of
all ages are welcome. The ride is free, but charitable donations are encouraged.
The ride is held in 13 cities annually, including Denver, which will host its
own Tour de Fat Sept. 10.
