Heath Steel spins off from Heath Construction

FORT COLLINS – Heath Construction has spun off its pre-engineered metal buildings business.

Heath has offered pre-engineered steel buildings for more than 30 years as an authorized distributor of Chief Buildings. Going forward, Heath Steel will handle all of the steel-building business. Two of Heath Construction’s 40 employees will be responsible for running the new operation.

“As a separate company, we’re better able to focus on and expand the steel-building markets,´ said Terry Been, general manager of Heath Steel, in a prepared statement. “We’re fortunate to have such a solid base from which to work.”

Been explained that Heath Steel will be able to work with some of the larger general contractors on a full-service package for the buildings, from early-stage design work to assembly.

Heath Construction has been involved with several large, pre-engineered building projects in Northern Colorado, including the 85,000-square-foot Furniture Row in Dacono and the 26,000-square-foot Thomas M. McKee 4-H and Community Building at the Larimer County Fairgrounds at The Ranch in Loveland.
