Greeley Aamco certified “Eco-Green”

GREELEY — The Aamco Transmissions Center at 2445 W. 29th St. in Greeley is the first center in Colorado to be certified as “Eco-Green” by its parent company.

Aamco’s certification program is based on centers making a positive environmental impact on their communities. In Greeley, Aamco switched to environmentally friendly solvents and invested in new technologies to recycle the solvents and eliminate waste.

“Aamco’s Eco-Green certification establishes a new standard for the industry that makes good business and environmental sense,´ said Michael Antonucci, center owner. “The country is more environmentally aware, and given the choice, motorists are more likely to choose an environmentally responsible service center.”

In November the Greeley Aamco center became the first auto service outlet in Colorado to offer installation of an EPA-certified flex-fuel conversion kit.

Founded in 1962, Pennsylvania-based Aamco Transmissions has nearly 900 automotive centers across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
