Aims receives funding for EMT scholarships

GREELEY — Aims Community College has received $46,200 in scholarship funding to assist nontraditional students.

The Daniels Opportunity Scholarship funding will provide 28 scholarships to emergency medical technician and paramedic students at Aims. The scholarships will be awarded during the next two years.

Daniels Opportunity Scholarship funding is awarded as a grant to colleges and universities in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming that can convert the money into scholarships for nontraditional students, such as adults pursuing education at a later stage in life, GED recipients, students exiting the juvenile justice system and returning military personnel. Colorado State University, the University of Northern Colorado and Front Range Community College are also currently involved with the Daniels Opportunity Scholarship program.
