Governor will dedicate Northwest Parkway Nov. 24

The Northwest Parkway, the Denver metro area’s newest transportation corridor, is set to open Monday, Nov. 24, following a morning dedication ceremony from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. with Colorado Gov. Bill Owens.

“The opening of the Northwest Parkway marks a major milestone for the metro Denver area, as completion of a beltway is one step closer to reality,´ said Steve Hogan, Northwest Parkway Public Highway Authority executive director. “The Northwest Parkway offers users a simple, affordable alternative to battling increasing traffic congestion along U.S. 36 and provides a 30-minute route between Denver International Airport and the region’s top technology and business corridor.”

The 70 mph toll road connects E-470 and I-25 at 157th Avenue with U.S. 36 and State Highway 128 in Broomfield.
